Do you have what it takes to escape?

Shifting Dungeon is an unforgiving roguelike dungeon crawler in which you build your own dungeon! Place randomly generated tiles on the map, then switch to the player view and traverse narrow corridors. Fight monsters in turn-based combat, discover strange artifacts, both boon and bane, and reclaim your freedom!

Modular dungeon creation

Build your own dungeon by placing randomly generated tiles on the map! Want to make it straight to the exit? Create a direct path to it! Feeling a little adventurous? Make long, winding corridors and explore the dungeon! Is a particular path too dangerous? Fret not, just make another!

Turn-based combat

Nobody said escaping would be easy... Prepare for turn based combat against various monsters, split into three phases: attack, defence, and enemy phase. You can go all out and kill your enemy as fast as possible, but it might leave you vulnerable for the next fight. A good balance between offence and defence is the key to success!

Seamless switch between player and map view

You can build the whole dungeon right at the start or create and explore it bit by bit. The choice is yours!

Shifting Dungeon was made in a two-day game jam hosted by our school a few years ago, when our team was smaller. It is janky and unfinished, but that's what game jams usually are! We still hope you can find some enjoyment out of it :)
